Obituary of Sally Patricia Asbury

Sally (Gallagher) Asbury passed away on October 14, 2016 in St. Maries, ID. She was born in St. Maries, ID on May 6, 1938 to Pete Gallagher and Joyce (English) Gallagher. In 1955 she married Earl Bailey. They had 3 children Steve, Jim, and Brenda. They later divorced. In September 1965 she married William “Buster” Asbury. They had 2 children Tim and Jodi. Sally worked in a restaurant from the age of 15 until a little over a year ago when she sold her restaurant. She lived in St. Maries most of her life except the 5 years her and Buster lived in Alaska which they enjoyed very much. Sally was a mother to everyone, and the house was always full of kids staying over. The Eagles was always a big part of Sally’s life. Sally is survived by her sons Jim (Karen) Bailey of Fairbanks, AK, Steve (Shirley) Bailey of Spokane, WA, Tim Asbury of St. Maries, ID; daughters Brenda McCarter of Spokane, WA and Jodi Asbury of St. Maries, ID; step-sons Ron (Maggie) Asbury and David Asbury of St. Maries, ID; sisters Cathy (Larry) Swinney of Las Vegas, NV and Rosie Bekens of Valdez, AK; and brother Denny (Rita) Gallagher of Coeur d’ Alene, ID. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service is planned for October 21, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Eagles Lodge in St. Maries, ID. A gathering of family and friends to share a meal will follow at the Eagles Lodge.
