Obituary of Patricia Ann Primmer

Sept. 4, 1930 – Nov. 2, 2016 Patricia (Pat) Ann Primmer A celebration was taking place in heaven in the early hours Nov. 2 as Pat enjoyed a reunion with her husband, 2 sons, and many family members and friends. She passed away peacefully and finally pain free at her home on the St. Joe River outside of St. Maries, ID. Mom said to keep her obituary short and sweet, but as usual she was too humble to realize how important she was in so many lives and therefore we are going to show respect and give credit to her. Born in Kellogg, ID to Elva Williams and Edward Gay, Pat attended many different schools due to her Dad's job and graduated from Worley, ID. She married Elvin Primmer at the age of 18 and put roots down in Tekoa, WA until 1974 offering their four children the stability of one home. While there she was a fabulous Mom, great wife, and a successful business woman while owning and operating a dry cleaners, laundromat, and one of the first key-gas operations. In 1974 they returned to farming along the St. Joe River where she was a big part of the day to day operations. Life had it's tragedies and joys over the next 42 years. Their life changed forever when their farming partner and son, Chris was killed in an auto accident in 1975. Her husband Elvin lost his battle with cancer in 1995 and her son Michael lost his life in an auto accident 3 years later in 1998. Despite these adversities, Pat was a fine example of one classy lady who exuded inner peace that transcended any problems, concerns, or circumstances. Her joys were great also as she was a proud grandmother to 8 grandchildren, Christopher Chad Primmer, Sabrina Primmer, Ryan Day (Lydia), Nick Primmer (Jessica), Reggie Day (Alicia), Patrick Day (Chelsie), Casey Freeman, and Kirsten Day. She was also a fabulous Gma to 12 great grandchildren. Mikala, Josiah, Jonah, Maia, Blaze, Kindell, Remmi, Arlee, Cavinah, Axten, Gibson and Christopher. She shared her wisdom and life experiences with her 2 daughters Pegi Freeman (Ed), Kellogg, ID and Valerie Day (Cary) St. Maries, ID. Along with the role of wife, mother, grandmother, Gma, sister, and friend, she was a Prayer Warrior who was a great listener and had a knack of somehow making everyone feel special. The light of His love filled her and she was a channel of love, joy, and peace. She will be greatly missed, but all who had the opportunity to know her were richly blessed. There will be a celebration of life on Friday, November 11 at 1:00 pm at the St. Maries Nazarene Church where she was a member.
