St. Maries lost another treasure. Sharon was a breath of fresh air -- in so many ways -- to all who were blessed to know her. Peace and love to her beautiful daughters Becky and Mona from the McFadden family.

In Coeur d’Alene this summer, sipping wine with Sharon and former Gazette Record interns Dale Goodwin and Julie Smitt, we recalled our times in St. Maries with pleasure and shared our fond memories of Bob and Joey Hammes, and of Josephine Reid. Sharon stayed until just after dinner, then home she went – not driving after dark being one of her few concessions to being 87.
I walked a lot of miles with Sharon over the years. (She walked so fast that it might be more accurate to say she walked and I trotted.) Sharon is the one who taught me to drive a stick shift. Remember that Mona? You were 16 and I was 22. Your mom’s car was never the same.
At the Gazette Record, Sharon came early and worked at the only speed she knew: furiously fast. She had a reservoir of good cheer for cranky customers, balky machines and all the times Bob “improved” the billing program.
She was an admirable woman. I will miss her so very much.

So sorry for your loss she was a wonderful person!!! I remember her from Mike's drug store, she was always smiling and I loved how she put her lipstick on. Weird memory i know but it is mine!!! RIP Sharon!!!!
