Hello Mom,
I just wanted to let you know I miss you everyday - i wish i had stayed with you on the Saturday before you passed - i made the decision to hang with friends instead of spending it with you - you told me i didn't need to go but i thought i did.....i wish i could have that one moment back - we could have played Yahtzee and Scrabble, had our own girls night......love you

To all of Kathy's family, my deepest condolences. Kathy was my most favorite person of this multitude of extended Family. My first relationship with her was in the role of being her sister in laws sister (Rods wife Janell's sister). Later I became her sister in-law through my marriage to her brother Tracy. I was blessed with many family reunions and family gatherings where we both attended. One of the most memorable times was a family gathering at her brother Ray's place in Newport WA. One of the attendees became verbally abusive to my sister Janell and it was escalating. The attendee was an x-large framed fellow, Kathy a very pettie woman. She picked up a shovel and chased this man down the driveway yelling "If I catch you, I'm gonna kill you and you want be dead enough". I'm sure everyone there remembers this.... After my sister Janell disowned me for making the worst decision of my life (marrying the devil's offspring) Kathy never joined the movement and remained my family and my connection to the family. I requested to be let known when her memorial would be held so I could be apart of the celebration of her life ...sadly I was not informed. I know the pain in my heart from her passing can only image how much more painful yours is.

Kathy was a very dear friend and will be greatly missed. We will always cherish the great memories of our San Juan Island fishing trips. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this very difficult time.
