I wish I'd had the chance to get to know Aunt Mary, but Uncle Junior's family was so far apart in both years and distance from my own (I am the oldest daughter of George Jr's youngest brother, Jim--James Allen Heinze Sr.--and Debbie Jo Johnson), so I only ever remember meeting my cousin Skeet once, when I was a girl, at Grandma's house, and then my oldest first-cousin Norma (Bean), a few years ago at Aunt Rose's house, before Aunt Rosalie passed away as well. Daddy never strayed far from home while he and Mom were together. *sigh* I remember being a little girl, decades ago, watching Grandma board an airplane to fly to Montana and meet her whole extended family there.
If any of you ever want to know your cousins *here*...my number is 304-322-5883. I would gladly speak to anyone in our family. Maybe we could trade genealogical information? Family stories? I dislike close kin being so far away and cut off from each other, because my son and my nieces and nephews all should know who and where their family is from.
I'd also like to visit Butte someday. Maybe even stay there. I like quilting and crocheting and a lot of the same things as Aunt Mary, because Grandma (Anne Mae Heinze) taught them to me.
My condolences. I wish I'd have gotten the chance to know her. I did meet her during her last visit here. I just regret that it was to be the very last time...
