When I was probably around 4 or 5 years old, which would make Uncle Paul about 14-15, he would watch my two sisters and I at my grandparent's home. He would lay on the floor with his shirt pulled partially up and ketchup on his stomach, waiting for us to get real close to him, then he would scare us and start chasing us around. He was such a fun uncle.

To Paul's family,
I am sorry to hear of Paul's passing. I know him from eou. He was in my design class and a favorite student of mine though I did not know him well, but I was impressed so much by his work ethic and determination to do well in his studies and pursuit of being an artist. He was very kind to me as a new faculty member and always made a point to say hello and show me what kinds of projects he was working on in sculpture, especially. I appreciated his positive spirit and will miss seeing him around in Lagrande. Rest in peace Paul, we will miss you.

I met Paul a few years ago when Matt and AJ brought him fishing with me on the lower Deschutes River in Oregon. I was immediately impressed with his positive outlook regarding his new journey in life. He was a intelligent guy and had a great smile. He has fished with me two times and I really enjoyed spending the day with him. He will be missed. I am sorry for this loss to the Kolar family.
