Obituary of Dianne T. Needham
Dianne T. Needham (64) resident of Emida, ID passed away on December 19, 2016 in St. Maries, ID. She was raised by her “Grams” up in the Concrete - Rockport, WA area. Dianne was Choctaw and was very proud of her heritage. Over the years she collected many artifacts and knick-knacks that were part of her Native American heritage.
She was a very private person and loved staying at home taking care of her animals. She was known as an animal whisperer since she had a way with animals. In her career she has performed many jobs such as flagging, confined space clean-up in mills, trim saw operator in a mill, home maker, and a mother. She loved her horses, and when she lived on the coast she enjoyed trail rides in the rain forest. Cats were another animal dear to her heart, and she even raised bobcats.
Dianne knew she lived in the most beautiful place in Northern Idaho. She loved living on the mountain, drinking coffee on her porch, and watching all of the wildlife. Dianne and her husband Ralph tended to a big garden. Since the couple does not have a well, she would pack water every day to care for her garden. After her harvest, she would can all the goodies out of her garden. She was one tough woman, but she had a loving and caring heart! Her home was so peaceful and serene. She enjoyed reading, loved the bible, and loved God.
Dianne is survived by her husband Ralph at the family home, her children Earl Henricksen, Shane Yoss, Laura Yoss, James Yoss, Desire Roberts, Jessica Needham, Omer Needham, Luke Needham, Angela Needham, and Shera Needham. She is survived by her sister Pat, 25 grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother Rick Thomas.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
