Obituary of Kenny Joel Peters

Kenny Joel Peters (36) resident of Butte, MT passed away on December 25 2016. He was born to Jon and Connie (Ebert) Peters on November 5, 1980 in St. Maries, ID. Kenny grew up in Fernwood, ID where he attended grade school and played Little League baseball. He attended high school in St. Maries and worked for Economy Hardware. He graduated from St. Maries High School with the class of 1999. After graduation Kenny went to work as a general laborer for Emerald Creek Garnet for a year and a half. He then enrolled into Lewiston Clark State College and worked for a group home for developmentally delayed adults and children. Kenny took a break from school and worked for Fernwood Water and Sewer. He returned to school leaving just a semester shy of obtaining his BS in Psychology. Kenny moved to St. Maries and went to work for Stimson Lumber. He later relocated to Butte, MT and went to work for BSW, Inc where he was a caregiver to developmentally delayed children and adults. Kenny loved his job and he was loved by his employer and the residents. In his spare time he found himself in the mountains, and Kenny was very passionate about shed hunting. He loved the outdoors and all it could give him such as fishing, hunting, and hiking. Kenny is survived by his grandparents Bonnie Peters of Lewiston, ID, Charles Ebert of St. Maries, ID, Anita (Leonard) Eadus of St. Maries, ID; parents Jon Peters and Connie Kirkella of Fernwood, ID; brothers Brian Peters of Fernwood, ID, Derek (Kim) Peters of Lewiston, ID, Jared (Sara) Peters of Lewiston, ID; 2 nieces and 1 nephew. A memorial service will be January 7, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Elks Lodge in St. Maries, ID. A gathering of family and friends to share a meal will follow at the lodge.
