Obituary of Gordon G. Davis
Gordon G. Davis (62) resident of St. Maries, ID passed away on February 24, 2017 in St. Maries, ID. He was born on February 5, 1955 in Chincoteague, VA. While growing up Gordon’s father was in the military. The family spent time all around the world including Germany and Africa. Gordon spent 20 years on the road participating in the Pow-Wow Circuits where he would sell the jewelry and art that he made. He was a very talented artist. On top of making all kinds of jewelry, he painted, and sketched scrimshaw. He also was a silversmith.
Gordon enlisted in the United States Army and served 1975-1978. Among his job duties he performed artillery work. Once he was discharged from the army, he began his electrical career. He attended school in West Virginia and became a Master Electrician. Work brought him to Montana where he met his love Zerita Berger. Among Gordon’s travels in previous years, he came across St. Maries, ID. He had a passion for rocks and the mountains, so he and Zerita relocated to St. Maries. Gordon enjoyed the wildlife, hunting, and fishing that the St. Maries area has to offer. He also loved the people of St. Maries.
Gordon is survived by his companion Zerita Berger at the family home and his sister Isabelle Davis from Ohio.
