Obituary of Kenneth Everette Weaver
Kenneth E. Weaver (74) resident of St. Maries, ID died February 22, 2017 at Benewah Community Hospital. He was born July 16, 1942 to Kenneth and Violet Weaver in Potlatch, ID.
As a child, Ken spent his summers in St. Maries and winters in Shelton, WA. He graduated from Shelton High School with the class of 1961. Following graduation, Ken enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. During his time in the military Ken was stationed at Galena AFB, Fort Yukon, Joint Lewis-McCord AFB, and Elmendorf AFB. Ken attended school while he served in the military pursuing a degree in Psychology. Following his discharge, he lived in Alaska where he met Janice Mae Nibert on a flight to Fairbanks. They were married in 1978.
Ken worked on the Trans Alaska Pipeline, various highway projects and worked as a long haul truck driver to support his family which included three sons. Ken and Janice divorced in 1993. Ken then moved to St. Maries to care for his father and work his farm.
Ken enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and re-loading. He also enjoyed gun smithing, gardening, and riding his four wheeler. He loved is family and always wished that he could see them more and spend time with them.
Ken is survived by his son Billy Weaver of Anchorage, AK and son and daughter-in-law Jacob and Sheena Weaver of Wasilla, AK. Also surviving are his sister and brother-in-law Cheryl and Ernest Eshom of Belfair, WA, four grandchildren and four nieces. He was preceded in death by both his parents and son Raymond Lee Weaver.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
