Obituary of Francis M. Williams
Francis M. Williams Sr. (70) lifetime resident of Worley, ID and member of the Coeur d' Alene Tribe, died December 22, 2011 at Spokane, WA. from respiratory failure. He was born December 13, 1941 to Ignace and Mary (Daniels) Williams at Worley, ID. He grew up in Worley and graduated from Worley High School with the class of 1959. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. For two years and was honorably discharged in 1961. He married Cecile Patricia Plante on June 28, 1961 at Seattle, WA. They made their home in California where his wife attended a trade school. The lived in Huntington Beach and Los Angeles, CA before returning to Worley in 1970. He worked for the Coeur d' Alene Tribal farm for 35 years , retiring in 2005. His wife Pat died in 2006. He had a very special relationship with two of his grandson's whom he helped raise. He enjoyed playing bingo at the Coeur d' Alene Casino. Francis was a member of Sacred Heart Mission Catholic Church as well as the Coeur d' Alene Tribe. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Timothy and Tiffany Williams of Worley, ID. His brother Clarence Herbinaux of Worley and sisters Barbara Mitchell of Plummer, ID , Matilda Herbinaux of St. Maries and a sister Kathy living in Spokane. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preced in death by son's Mick Williams and Lane Williams who passed away Dec. 5th. Francis was also preceded in death by brothers Mark and Bernard Williams and Sister Gina Pierce. Rosary will be recited Wednesday Dec. 28th at 7:00 p.m. At Rose Creek Long House and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday December 29th at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Jerry Graham celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Worley with a feast to follow back at the Longhouse. Hodge Funeral Home, St. Maries is entrusted with arrangements.
