Obituary of Ernest V. Broullire

Ernest V. Broullire Jr. (90) former resident of Plummer, ID , died Sept.18, 2012 at St. Maries, ID. He was born September 9, 1922 to Ernest and Rose (Paulich) Broullire Sr. at Niagara, Wisconsin the eldest of 8 boys. He grew up on the family farm in Wisconsin and left school early to work on the farm and help his family. As a young man, he moved to Chicago, IL. And went to work for the Chicago-Milwaukee Railroad. He was stationed in Terre Haute, Indiana before being transferred to Spokane, WA. He married his wife Pansy in the 1950's. While working for the railroad, he ran a communications gang and worked as an exectrician. He lived in Avery in the 1960's and later transferred to Plummer, ID . His wife died in the early 1980's. He retired around 1987. In his retirement years, he worked part time for a contractor who recovered copper wire between Avery, ID and Missoula, MT. Ernie enjoyed Elk Hunting and fishing in British Columbia, Canada. He just loved the outdoors completely. In his retirement years, he also enjoyed caring for people in the Apartment complex at Plummer. He would plow snow for neighbors from Plummer to Worley. He also took shut-ins firewood in the winter time. When his wife was living, they enjoyed collecting antiques and visiting antique stores. Ernie is survived by numerous nieces and nephews including nephew. Todd and his wife Francesca Broullire and niece Shari Julian all of Niagara, WI and his caregivers Robert and Bennie Lowry of Plummer, ID He and his wife never had children. He was preceded in death by brothers Robert, Charlie, Lawrence, Donald, David, Marvin and Howard Broullire. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday Sept. 26, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. At Hodge Funeral Home with Pastor Parker McNeill officiating.
