Obituary of William N. Dreisbach
William N. Dreisbach (68) resident of St. Maries, ID passed away on April 10, 2017. He was born to Maurice and Louise Dreisbach on April 7, 1949 in Sitka, AK. His family relocated to Bonners Ferry, ID where he graduated high school with the class of 1967.
Following high school Bill moved to California where he worked in a sawmill. He traveled around for a while before he returned to Bonners Ferry where he went to work for the U.S. Forest Service at Bonners Ferry Ranger District. Bill moved to St. Maries, ID obtaining employment at Potlatch Corp. He then went back to work for the U.S. Forest Service at St. Joe Ranger District performing job duties on survey crews, road location, and the soil lab retiring in 2011.
Bill met Nadine (Keener) Michael when he moved to St. Maries. The couple dated for 13 years before marrying on April 22, 1995 in Coeur d’ Alene, ID. They were soul-mates and enjoyed riding motor cycles, camping, rock climbing, canoeing, fishing, hunting, hanging out with their fur babies, and spending time with family and friends. Nadine passed away on June 23, 2016.
Bill is survived by his step-daughters Tori (Vern Fritsche) Poesy of Tensed, ID and Toni (Ralph) Quigley of St. Maries, ID; sister Joan Bowman of Sandpoint, ID; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces; and 1 nephew. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Nadine, step-son Timothy Michael, and granddaughter Brittany Poesy.
A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date to be announced.
