Obituary of Shante' M. Parker

Shante’ M. Parker (26) former resident of St. Maries, ID passed away on April 18, 2017 in Moscow, ID. She was born to Michael Parker and Buelah Johnson on September 17, 1990 in St. Maries, ID. Shante’ grew up in Baker City, OR. Due to her illness, she left school early to get her high school diploma and attended Blue Mountain Community College. Her graduation ceremonies were held in Pendleton, OR in 2006. At age 20 she was diagnosed with Epilepsy. She moved to Sandy, OR in 2008 and worked as a waitress and bartender. Shante’ attended ITT Tech in Portland, OR and received her Associates of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice in 2010. She moved to Pendleton in 2011 to live with her mother. The following year she moved to St. Maries and in 2013 she moved in with her fiancé Charles Christian. In 2015 they moved to Moscow, ID. Shante’ was a member of Christs Church in Moscow, ID. She enjoyed photography, crocheting she learned from her grandma, and volunteering at school in Moscow. She was sociable, loving, kind, and a great mother to her children. Sadly she died from complications of her Epilepsy. She is survived by her children Tre’ William Parker and Talynn Michael Christian; step-children Julius Christian and Dareen Christian; father Michael Parker of St. Maries, ID; mother Buelah Harmon of Pendleton, OR; grandfather Melvin Gallagher of Plummer, ID; sister Meagan Harlan of Baker City, OR; brother Michael G. Gregory of Stayton, OR; and aunt Trina (Tom) Fuller. A memorial service will be Thursday April 27, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Hodge Funeral Home in St. Maries, ID.
