Obituary of Kevin Lee Tressler

Kevin Lee Tressler (57) resident of Fernwood, ID. Died Sept. 19, 2012 at Hospice House of North Idaho following a courageous 6 month battle with cancer. He was born March 13, 1955 to Gordon and Lorraine (Stratton) Tressler at Denver, CO. He grew up in Denver and graduated from Englewood CO. High School with the class of 1973. Kevin married Vickie Aldinger on July 5, 1974 at Littleton, CO. They lived in various locations throughout the State of Colorado where he worked as a parts-man for various General Motors Automotive Dealerships. He moved to Idaho on Sanders Road in 1982. He worked for Bob Short Logging before going to work for Wally Orvick Car dealership in Moscow, ID. In 1986, he went to work for NAPA auto parts in St. Maries and the following year, he went to work for S&S auto parts. Kevin worked there for several years before going to work for Fleet Parts. He left Fleet Parts to go to work in Kendrick, ID for Auto parts and Farm Equipment Sales. He returned to Fleet Parts about five years ago. Illness forced him to retire in April of this year. Kevin enjoyed back packing, hiking, fishing and camping. He was an avid grouse hunter. Kevin was known by his family and friends as always calling them on their birthdays and anniversaries. He was a member of St. Maries Elks Lodge # 1418. Kevin is survived by his wife Vickie at the family home in Fernwood. His daughter Darvana Haffie Elizabeth Tressler of Anchorage, AK. He is also survived by his mother Lorraine Tressler of Englewood, CO, his brother Larry Tressler of Ft. Worth, TX and sister Loree' Shower of Englewood, CO. A celebration of Kevin's life will be Saturday September 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Maries Elks Lodge. A gathering of family and friends will follow services.
