Jeffery Bierce

Obituary of Jeffery Edward Bierce

Jeffery Edward Bierce (54) resident of Emida, ID passed away in a logging accident near Medimont, ID on September 1, 2017.  He was born to Michael and Arlene Bierce in Pullman, WA on September 24, 1962.  Jeff grew up in Orofino, ID until the age of 10 when his family moved to Sanders Road.  He graduated from Plummer High School with the class of 1981.

Following high school, Jeff worked 9 years at B N P Lentil Company in Farmington, WA. He married Dee Dee Reid in May of 1987 and they had one daughter together, Megan.  The couple later divorced, and Jeff moved to Emida, ID where he went to work for Short Logging.  Over the years he held various positions with the company such as a Sawyer, an equipment operator running a Feller-Buncher, and mulching where he worked all those years alongside his brother Brian.  Jeff loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping (in Elk River specifically), football (Go Packers), NASCAR (Dale Earnhardt Jr. being his favorite), but most of all he loved spending time with his grandkids. The love he had for his family was like no other, especially for his daughter.  Although Jeff was pretty wild in his younger years, he became a simple man that all his family and friends could count on.

Jeff is survived by his daughter and son- in-law Megan and Travis Burch, and their two children Greysin and Riley of Tekoa, WA; his older brother and sister- in- law Brian and Nancy Bierce, and younger brother and sister- in- law David and Brenda Bierce all of Tensed, ID; niece Courtney Bierce of Coeur d’Alene, ID; nephew and his wife Travis and Ashley Bierce of Spokane, WA; one great niece, and three great nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents.
