Obituary of Irene Pearl Miller

Irene Pearl Miller (77) longtime St. Maries, ID resident, died October 19, 2012 at St. Maries. She was born March 6, 1935 to Garry and Helen (Sanderson) Miller at Midwest, MO. She moved with her family to Montana in 1938 and onto St. Maries in 1942. The family settled on property on Round Lake. As a young girl, she spent most of her life at home. She attended to the farm animals and enjoyed fishing in the lake. Irene was disabled most all of her life, but she kept active enjoying her time on the lake until the family moved into St. Maries. She had a tremendous love for animals. She moved to Valley Vista Care Center in 1984. She enjoyed playing Bingo at Valley Vista and she also made bead jewelry which she gave to her family and friends. Irene never married. She is survived by her sisters Odessa Jones of Coeur d' Alene, ID and Virginia Hawersaat of Eugene, OR. Also surviving are her brother Carl Miller of Orofino, ID and her aunt Marie Miller of St. Maries, ID. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both her parents, brother Vernon Miller and sister Ruth Kuechman. Funeral Services will be Thursday October 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Hodge Funeral Home, St. Maries with Rev. Parker McNeill officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery with a gathering of family and friends following at the Community Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall.
