Obituary of Edward E. Hill
Edward E. Hill (59) resident of St. Maries, ID died Nov. 27, 2012 at his home at St. Maries from natural causes. He was born Feb. 11, 1953 to Homer and Frances (Husband) Hill at Longview, WA. He moved to St. Maries with his family when he was 2 years old. He grew up in St. Maries and graduated from St. Maries High School with the class of 1971. He then attended North Idaho College before going to work for the Milwaukee Railroad. He worked with the rock blasting crew up the St. Joe River. He married Susan M. Lehman Sept. 14, 1979 at St. Maries. He went to work for the St. Maries Complex of Potlatch Corp. in 1980. He worked in all aspects of the mill's operations. He was promoted to Fork Lift operator and continued to work in that position until he retired from the mill in 2004. Ed moved to Kalispell, MT in 2004 and went to work for his family business, H & H Express. He returned to St. Maries in June of this year to be closer to his family. He was semi-retired at the time of his death. Ed enjoyed hunting and fishing, shooting his firearms, riding his Harley and watching sporting events, especially football. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren Breeana and Logan. Ed is survived by his daughters Katie Hill of Pullman, WA and Julie Hill of Moscow, Id. Also surviving are his brothers Larry Hill of Coeur d' Alene and Dennis Hill of Fernwood, ID as well as his sister and husband Glenda and Clarence Hart of Moscow, ID. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by half-brother Robert Hill, and his parents. Services will be Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Maries Eagles Lodge 702 College Ave. A reception will follow.
