Our sympathy to Maria, Kurt, William, and their families on the loss of their mother. Bill and Lela were part of our lives from the 1960's, especially at the Bethel Chapel in Plummer. Mother (Grace) counted your mom as one of her best friends for five decades. We enjoyed her friendship, her laughter, and her smile. We will all miss her. Sandra, Bettie Anne, Kathy, and Valerie.

Lela was a dear friend for many years. I first met her when my husband and I moved to Plummer to pastor the church that is now known as Christian Fellowship. In some respects it was a difficult time, and we had only been in Plummer a short time when Fritz was killed. My husband conducted his memorial service.
Lela and Bill stood by our side all the time we were in Plummer, donated dental work for my son, Mark. After we left Plummer we stayed in touch, and I was so blessed when Lela made the trip to Whidbey Island 2 years ago to attend my 80th birthday party. I was able to make a trip to Plummer last summer and spent 4 days with Lela at her home on "the hill." We didn't do anything spectacular, just visited.
I will miss her, but will see her in our eternal home, probably sooner than I think.
See you soon, Lela.
