Obituary of Cynthia Jean Ford-Campbell
Cynthia Jean Ford-Campbell (65) resident of St. Maries, ID died January 1, 2013 at her home near St. Maries from complications of COPD. She was born October 4, 1947 to Nelson and Eleanor (Hamlin) Ford Sr. at Choteau, MT. She grew up in Helena, MT and graduated from a Catholic boarding school there in 1965. As a young woman, she worked as a bartender in Helena. She had one child in 1966 and raised her as a single parent. Cindi married Robert Campbell in 1977 at Vancouver, B.C. They divorced two years later. She then moved to Seattle, WA where she was a homemaker and raised her daughter. In 1982, Cindi went to work as a nurses aide providing home health care. She married "Papa" Jerry Walker in 1985 in Seattle. He died in 2003. She has lived between Spokane and St. Maries for the past 6 years and recently settled in St. Maries two years ago. Cindi enjoyed being with her grandchildren. She was an avid Seattle Seahawk fan and enjoyed purchasing jewelry on QVC. She was a member of the Roman Catholic faith and the Blackfeet Tribe. Cindi is survived by her daughter Bambi Ford of St. Maries, her former son-in-law Bill McEwen also of St. Maries. He brothers Randy, Mike and Donald Ford all of Spokane, WA, Flint Ford of Seattle, WA. And Troy Ford of Missoula, MT. Also surviving are her sisters Lori Ford of Helena, MT, Melva Ford and Sandra Ford both of Seattle, WA, Marlene Ford of Spokane, WA and Eleanor Ford of Coos Bay, OR. Cindi is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sisters Sherry and Rita Ford. A memorial Mass celebrating her life will be Friday, January 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. At St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Francisco Godinez celebrant.
