So many good memories in this time of sorrow for all of us but especially for her family. Gertrude and Charlie became friends almost 60 years ago, and soon more like aunt and uncle than friends. They retired to Idaho to live on a ranch with my parents. The Sunday morning routine was that they would drive down to the box on the highway to get the newspaper and come up to have coffee and visit in our kitchen. Gertrude was the last link in that chain, but we can comfort ourselves by sharing thoughts of good times and lives well lived. Hugs to all.
