Wow. Tony was my neighbor who was my pal. I just randomly Googled his name as he did not respond to my texts for awhile. I am stunned and shocked and as much as I missed him when I thought he was away I am now deeply saddened. He was funny and a deep lover of his dogs. We had this in common. Oh, wow. My thoughts to his family.

Tony and I shared adventures on both coasts from hiking in the Columbia River Gorge to nightlife in Greenwich Village. He loved Paris, too, and was adored by everyone who met him wherever he traveled. My deepest sympathy to the Harold family.

Dear loved ones of Tony Harold,
I first met Tony when he came by to the Front Desk at the Q Center here in Portland, Oregon. He showed up to volunteer, and he was one of the very first members of Rainbow Walk in The Trees. He brought a vigorous spirit to the walk, and his encouragement was very inspiring to keep the walk going. His initial presence helped spark a walk that lasted for 5 years. His laughter and fellowship will be remembered by the first members of the tree walk group. Tony will be missed, and his memory will be cherished for the rest of our lives.

Oh Dear Tony. God Bless and God speed my old friend. Those many years ago I knew you were so special....the kindest, smartest, funniest and fun loving person ever. You were miles above others in heart and soul. I cherish the times we spent together....I can't think of a bad moment with you. Whatever may have been distressing to you was never shown, it was always "our Tony", happy and with quick witted humor. I am happy you are free from the pain now my friend and I will always cherish those memories.

Hearing this news from my dear friend, Diane, has me feeling so very very sad. Tony and I lived together in Spokane in 1979-80 and, in fact, he drove with me to Prince Rupert, BC as I was moving to Alaska. My life is so full of wonderful Tony memories that I will never forget and they will always bring such a smile to me. I am so sad that we lost contact over the years. Rest in peace my dear friend - this world has lost a wonderful human being!

I'm so very sad today. I considered Tony one of my very best friends and "neighbors " growing up. Many memories as kids and then sharing a house in Spokane after high school. He was a big part of my early life and I loved him.

I remember Tony in our Junior High and High School days as an outgoing, enthusiastic young person. He was always fluttering around from group to group. So full of life and energy. He has left a big hole in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. RIP Tony
