Tony Harold

Obituary of Tony Harold

The world lost Tony unexpectedly on April 12, 2019.  He entered this world to the parents of Marion “Dolly” (Carpenter) Harold and Jack Wendell Harold on May 3, 1958 in St. Maries Idaho.  After growing up in St. Maries he went on to the University of Idaho where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree and then furthered his education at the University of Delaware.  Tony always had an amazing scientific brain and artistic view.  He spent some time living in New York City and made his final home with his partner Danny Tulip and two dogs Cesar and Biscuit in Portland, Oregon.

While in Portland, Tony worked as a Software Engineer for Finastra.  Tony loved to travel and explore different parts of the World.  After Danny died, Tony changed scenery and lived in Guadalajara for a year teaching English.  Although he loved the warm sun and cultural diversity, he returned to Portland and was reemployed by Finastra.

Tony’s life was fulfilled by time spent with his dogs and close friends hiking or exploring.  He was one of the most kind and gentle souls who made some special friendships through his life here on Earth.  His love of nature was evident in the many beautiful photos he took.

Tony was preceded in death by his partner Danny Tulip, mother Dolly Harold, best friend Nancy Rowe, dog-children Cesar and Biscuit, Aunt Janice Anderson, Uncle James Harold, and grandparents.  Tony is survived by his father Jack Harold, brother Tucker Harold (Becky Harold), three nieces, five great nephews, Aunt Margie Bentcik (Larry), Uncle David Carpenter (Jill), Aunt Shirley Anderson, Uncle Gene Anderson (Sue), and Uncle John Anderson, and many great friends.

Donations in memory of Tony can be made to the Hope’s Haven Animal Shelter in St. Maries, Idaho
