Mr. Lawson was my middle school shop teacher.. I think it was my 7th grade year? I came into his class on my birthday and everyone was singing happy birthday and shouting excited... And Mr. Lawson got a smirk and said "what... No happy birthday for me..?" I said no! It's my birthday and he cheerfully informed me that it was indeed his birthday too.... February 23rd. So, that day on I think is what made him one of my favorite teachers. He'll be missed for sure ❤️

Mr Lawson was my wrestling coach at Superior High 1987-1990. He taught us so many life lessons. One specifically for me was when I quit the team in a poor manner by not showing up to the bus the morning of a tournament. He was highly disappointed with me and this weighed on me for years ( even now). I vowed never to let anyone down like this again. He helped make that a real defining moment in my life and I have tried to find him for years to apologize for doing that, but also acknowledge him for making me more trustworthy. My condolences to his family. You had a treasure in him. Thank you for sharing him with us kids. He made a huge difference in my life! Tim Medlock class of 1990

My husband and I were just reminiscing not too long ago about our high school years and your name came up.
Mr. Lawson was my husband's football coach. He was my teacher for Driver's Ed. At the time we couldn't remember your wife's first name because I think we always just called her Mrs. Lawson, but we did remember your son's name. Jeremiah (was a bullfrog). We chuckled and I wondered how you and your family were.
I was sad to hear the news.
We want to extend our deepest condolences to the whole family, especially to Mrs. Lawson, Jeremiah and family

Bill was the best hall teaching buddy at PFHS. We enjoyed working across the hall from each other and he was always willing to help out the art teachers, and anyone else that needed a hand. His life long dedication to teaching and coaching was amazing. He was a good guy. I am very sad for his loss for retirement years with his loving family. Rest in Peace, Bill - I hope the snowmobiling snow and the golf greens are extra amazing for you in heaven.

We were very saddened to hear the news of Bill's passing. He was Gavin's golf coach through high school and was also a part of the St. Maries School District work family. Bill would come to the office every single day during lunch to check on me to see if I needed anything. He got a kick out of being my "secretary" and answering the phone. He has made an impact on many lives and will truly be missed.

Saddened to hear about the passing of Mr. Lawson. He was my woodshop teacher in Superior my junior and senior year 93/94. He was a great teacher and mentor. Still love wood working to this day because of his class. Condolences to his family and friends.
