Obituary of Liam Patrick Anderson
Liam Patrick Anderson (22) beloved son, brother, nephew, grandson, and lifelong resident of Plummer, ID passed away on February 3, 2023, in Los Angeles, CA. He was born to Robert and Sandra (Bremerman) Anderson on December 11, 2000 in Coeur d’ Alene, ID. Liam grew up in Plummer attending schools in Plummer, St. Maries, and Tekoa, WA. He had a passion for trap shooting and was instrumental in spearheading the implementation of the Tekoa trapshooting team that still competes today. Liam graduated from Tekoa High School with the class of 2019.
Following high school Liam went to work for Plummer Forest Products. He was a talented Diesel Mechanic who loved to frequent the Snap-On truck, maybe a little too much. They say the best investment is in the tools of one's own trade and as if the Snap-On truck wasn’t enough, he organized for the Mac Tool Truck to visit the plant as well.
An accomplished trap shooter known for his competitive spirit at many local shoots and clubs; Liam had the opportunity to travel with his dad in 2017 to San Antonio, TX to compete in the National Jr. Clay Target Championships. He placed 3rd in the nation in Trap Shooting and Sporting Clays. He was also an avid fly fisher who had a special love for the St. Joe River, where he grew up camping and fishing with his family. He was always out fishing his dad earning bragging rights for the biggest fish caught.
Liam had a knack for music and played many instruments, including drums, trombone, trumpet, and cornet. He liked to collect antique trumpets and have them restored; even though they cost more to restore than they were worth. Money didn’t matter, he just wanted to save the instruments, and they were more sentimentally valuable to him than brand new ones. He played his restored instruments and his favorite black chrome cornet often. Liam was also a collector; he collected coins, guns, three wheelers, instruments, rocks, crystals, and he would have collected hound dogs, but that is where his parents drew their line.
Born with the gift of gab, Liam never met a stranger. He had friends young and old and would talk to everyone he met in life interested in hearing about their stories. His kind heart, infectious smile, quick wit, and unique laugh just had a way of drawing people to him.
Liam is survived by his parents Robert and Sandra Anderson of Plummer; sister Ashley Anderson of Spokane; grandparents John and Bonnie Anderson and Pat and Darlene Bremerman all of Plummer; aunts Angela Anderson of Tekoa and Michelle Triplett of Plummer; several cousins and other family members. He is preceded in death by his Aunt Alese Anderson.
A Memorial Service has been planned for Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Tekoa High School in Tekoa, WA. A gathering of family and friends to share a meal will follow at the school.
