I was so sorry to hear of Ron’s death.
Ron was a very special man who touched the lives of many, including myself and my family. I remember when he made me a recording (1982) of some of his favorite songs and called it “On a Different Course”. I still have that tape and listen to it once in a while. I have many more fond memories.
Ron will be greatly missed by us all.

Ron was a real special person to our family and we are very saddened to learn of his death. We'll always remember him as being a fun-loving, accomplished and generous soul of his time and himself.
I have here on my desk a gift from Ron, that he gave us during one of our family's annual Christmas Eve buffet dinners. We usually exchanged 'joke' gifts and his gift to us was a bottle of imported beer from France. "Brasseurs de Paris" (Beer of Paris) it says on the still unopened bottle. I wish that he were here and I would finally open it and share it with him! Now, I guess we'll keep it for the ages. Goodbye Ron, rest in peace.

First met Ron around '68. Rockin' helped dozens of us appreciate the finer qualities of rock n roll music. He was the older brother I never had, always patient and able to understand my joys, problems, moods, giving advice/encouragement. I spent many nights on his couch when there was no where else to go and he always had food and drink to share too. Football games with chicken enchiladas and beers were great. Anyway, thanks Ron for helping put a new engine in my car, speaking at my dad's Potlatch retirement party, road trips to Harrison and up the Joe in the Can- Am; fun times at Black Hills, South Dakota, road trips with Kelly in Wyoming, boat rides with Noah and so very, many other good times downtown at the Elks and Eagles etc. Paul Bunyan Days was another whole set of good memories too. There will never be another man quite like you, Ron. And thanks for making it to Cindy and I's wedding. We'll miss you until that day comes when we'll join up again above.

I've known Ron for about 45 years and he was always one of my favorite people. He was the "bestman" for me a long time ago and never stopped being a BEST Man! I have a son that is his namesake with that same fun lovin' personality! Clay & Ron have been friends and car guru's; it seems like forever. Everytime they got together they talked some language no one understood except them. Much love and lots of prayers to all the family, he's rockin' the tunes and hoppin' up God's car now!

Ron, the gentle man. Whether it was help turning a wrench on your car or recording that tape of the tunes you wanted, he was there to help. A place to crash for the night in Moscow or a "Get together" at 11th & Lincoln, that's the Ron I remember. And when we meet again, that's the Ron that will greet me. You will be missed.

Thank you Carol for entrusting Ron to us the short time he lived at Cottage Care. He was a gentle giant. He always made us laugh, and his fellow residents loved him as well. A day didn't go by that he didn't tell us how much you meant to him. I think you were HIS hero! So glad I got the chance to see his CamAm and loved his stories about when he cruised St. Maries with his friends. He had the funniest way to take off his socks which still makes me smile thinking about it. Lovely, lovely person, we will miss him so much. God bless you and your family, and hope the many comments of how much he was loved gives you comfort.

When I was little we would go up to Uncle Ron's with Annie (Andrea). He would put on music so all of the kids there could dance. He always greeted with a big hug, even when I was older and hadn't seen him for a while. I will miss his hugs and big smile. May he cruise in a classic car, rocking to the oldies up in Heaven!

Ron was such a fun and loving person. I have such fond memories of him. We met when we both worked one summer for the forest service and remained friends, weaving in and out of each others lives. He had such a good heart and, of course, a rock and roll soul. It was a joy to have known him.

Ron came from a great family. He was my friend, mentor, and the person I most looked up to as a teenager. Rockin' Ron had a great mind for music and mechanics. He loved life with passion. He had a big smile and a warm, wonderful heart. He was fair, sensitive, caring, and very funny! Ron turned me on to hundreds of bands. He encouraged me in my guitar playing when I was young. His handshake was full of love and brotherhood. I asked Ron if I could name my first born son after him. Ron insisted on "Rockin'" instead of "Ron", right down to the apostrophe! My son Jimmy ROCKIN' carries his name proudly, knowing how much the name "Rockin' Ron" meant to me. I will certainly miss Ron for the rest of my life. My deepest sympathies rest with Carol and all of his family. He was my hero.
