Obituary of Greg D. Law
Greg D. Law (15) resident of St. Maries was taken too soon when he passed away near St. Maries in an automobile accident. He was born to Craig and Kami (Osborn) Law in Coeur d’ Alene, ID on March 28, 2008. The first 4 years of his life, Greg was raised in Post Falls until his family moved back to St. Maries. He started school at Heyburn Elementary and enjoyed all the things a kid his age would love. Video games were life until he found a love for sports. He started his basketball career out at the Nazarene Church participating in their Upward and Win1 programs. He also played Little League baseball and Chief Morris Antelope Football, later St. Maries Youth Football. Last year Greg earned the title JV Lineman of the year.
Raised on a farm, Greg participated in 4-H raising pigs and sheep. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent time on the river or going on 4-wheeler rides. The Law home was the perfect hangout for Greg and all of his friends. At times he was a homebody, but he really enjoyed being with friends playing pool and darts, or you could find him and his friends sneaking around outside in the dark in a competitive game of hide and seek. He recently went through drivers’ education obtaining his learner’s permit, this was a chapter in his life he was very excited about.
Greg is survived by his parents Craig and Kami at their home in St. Maries; sister Lynee Law and fiancé Jacob Brewster of St. Maries; grandfather Albert Law of St. Maries; grandmother Debbie Osborn of St. Maries; aunts and uncles Marshall (Amanda) Law of Coeur d’ Alene, ID, Carol (Buzz) Henry of Buhl, ID, Shnna McNeil of Wallace, ID, Josh (Gina) McNeil of Hayden, ID, Jason McNeil of Boise, ID, Chris (Faith) McNeil of Boise, ID, and Tei-Anna Osborn of St. Maries, ID; numerous great aunts and uncles; and 14 cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Eleanor Law, and great grandparents Gerald Miller, Margaret Miller, May Stouffer, Earl Law, Lester Lamb, and Eleanor Irene Burge.
Greg was laid to rest in a private graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery. There will be a Memorial Service on Friday, December 22, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Cormana Building in St. Maries. A gathering of family and friends to share a meal will follow.
