Dear Mom,
I know you knew how much I loved you, but I hope you knew that you played such an important role in who i am today. You gave everything to your children and grandchildren. I will never forget the fact that you were always, always there for us, each and every day.
You woke us each morning singing "School days, school days, dear old golden rule days" as we covered our heads with the pillows, but couldn't help to laugh. Your smiling face greeted us at the door as we walked in from school, the house smelling of freshly baked bread. You were our biggest cheerleader, our most avid fan, and our truest friend. I loved the fact that as adults, we talked almost everyday on the phone, just to say "I'm fine, how are you?" I have desparately missed those calls.
Mom, you were such a strong and positive person, whose wit and humor my friends adored. I leaned on you when facing a challenge or doubt, and you always lifed me when I found myself in a dark place and helped me see the bigger picture and greater good.
I cherished the vacations we took together. You were always game for whatever adventure I conjured up, whether it was a trip to yellowstone, a cruise to alaska, or a family vacation on the coast. We had so many laughs and special moments together. I will hold those memories in my heart forever.
Even as you transitioned to valley vista, you were the picture of grace and goodness, never wanting to be a bother to anyone.
You were a Mom to more than your children, a Grandma to more than your grandchildren, and a neighbor to all who knew you. I love you Mom.

Doris was the Best Mother-in-law or Mother a person could ever ask for. Her kindness, playfulness and generosity were just a few of her finest qualities. She was and will always be our "sweet little Angel".I am grateful for every moment with her. We have been blessed to know her love and are all better people because of her example. Heaven is in for a real treat with her.

I knew Doris for over 23 years. She always treated me as a member of the family. She signed every birthday, Christmas, or any greeting card with Love from your adoptive Mother. I loved her as if she were my real mother. We shared a lot of laughs and good times together. She was always game for anything. Every adventure we took she was the life of the party. I will miss our competitive pinochle games. But most of all I will miss her smile, great sense of humor, kindness, courage, thoughtfulness, and her awesome cooking. I could list about a thousand more attributes that describes Doris. I am so blessed to have had her in my life. I love you Doris and will keep you in my heart forever.

Doris was like a second mom to me. I remember her dry sense of humor and such quick wit. I have often said, Kristi is the life of a party...and I think she aquired that gift from her mom. Always cunning; always witty... Just a gem of a soul. I love you Doris, and your beautiful family. Thrilled you are finally home with our Lord and Savior. Praise be to God! Peace be with you and all whom you loved.

It's sad to see Doris go, but she got to live a very good and long life. I knew her by being great friends with her granddaughter Josie. I will remember her for her kindness and great hospitality. She will be remembered as a very wonderful woman with a big, kind heart. RIP Doris
