Obituary of Beatrice A. Krasselt

Beatrice A. Krasselt (96) lifetime St. Maries, ID resident, died April 24, 2014 at St. Maries, ID. She was born July 23, 1917 on Cherry Creek , near St. Maries to Alfred and Alma (Johnson) Heimark. She completed first six grades of school at the country school at Cherry Creek. Bea graduated from St. Maries High School with the class of 1934. Bea received a scholarship and attended Northwestern Business College in Spokane, WA. Bea married Wallace Krasselt on October 3, 1936. A year later they moved to St. Maries where he operated a jewelry store and Bea worked for Kidder's Hardware Store doing the bookkeeping. A short time later, Bea attended beauty school and set up a shop in St Maries. Bea was a member and Past Matron of the St. Maries Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and the Daughters of the Nile. Serious accidents in 1970 and 1972 forced her to quit the beauty work. Bea loved to work at crafts and in her flower garden. Her husband Wally died in 1996. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Gary and Bev Krasselt of Marysville, WA, Dennis and Cindy Krasselt of Kent, WA and David and Dinah Krasselt of St Maries, ID and daughter Sandra Schneider of Redmond, WA. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters including Lawrence and Alfred Heimark and Mildred Williams and Lois Luginbuhl. Bea was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church and her funeral services will be held there on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Nancy Goodwin officiating. Order of Eastern Star rites will be conducted by their officers. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery with a reception following services at the Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall.
