Obituary of Zada M. Jones
Zada Myrea Jones was born February 23, 1921 to Jim and Ethel (Hyden) Jones at Barville, KY. She left school at an early age to help provide for her family and siblings. She married Eulas Jones on March 28, 1941 at Cincinnati, Ohio. They made their home in St. Maries. During the War years, she returned to Ohio and worked as a riveter in aircraft construction while her husband served in the Pacific Theater of War. In 1945, after the end of WW II, they returned to St. Maries. Zada worked as a housekeeper and did maintenance cleaning for General Telephone Co. She also worked with her husband manning U.S. Forest Service lookout stations. Her husband died in 1995. Zada enjoyed camping, growing flowers, quilt making and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Foursquare Gospel Church. Zada is survived by her daughter Marti Harpole at the family home in St. Maries, and daughters and sons-in-law Gaynell and Bob Marsh of Lewiston, ID, Ethel and Jay Ruggenberg of Spokane, WA. And Linda and Mick Horrocks of Post Falls, ID. Also surviving are sisters Jeanetta Morgan of Ohio and Libby Farrow of Baltimore, MD. There are also 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by sisters Ann Hall, Edna Shawn and Sarah Hult. Funeral Services will be Friday, September 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.at the Foursquare Gospel Church, St. Maries with Pastor Shane Royal officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery with a gathering of family and friends back at the church. The family suggests memorials to the Wishing Star Foundation 139 S.
