My first visit to the ranch on Goose Haven Road was before
my husband Steve and Rose Mary started their renovation work to turn what was a
neglected, mouse invaded house into Rose Mary’s cozy home. It was hard to
imagine that a place that was uninhabited could be transformed. As both
would comment, “from dreary to cheery” were the results of their labors over
the course of several summers. Rose Mary worked side by side with Steve
designing and helping to install major improvements that included new water,
heating, and electrical systems. Rose Mary had the vision and the skills
to make the transformation happen. One of her last designing efforts was
sketching out the layout of the front door ramp Steve built for her wheel
chair. Rose Mary created a home where she and her dog Abby were safe and
comfortable. No frills…but lots of smiles and good times for all who
visited.
Words from an old Loggins and Messina song reminded me of
how Rose Mary lived in St. Maries. “St. Maries was the center of her
world in a paper cup and she drank it up”.
Cheers Rose Mary!
Sally

So long Rose Mary my dear friend. You were like a mother figure to me: scolding Steve and myself for staying out so late or for having one to many beers! I love you and will miss you dearly. You will live forever in my heart. I count it an honor to have been one of your friends. So sorry that I cannot attend yur memorial service. Do not worry about Steve or the boys - I have got your back covered on that one. Randy

It was a pleasure to know Rose Mary. She was always so friendly when I would see her around town. She had a smile on her face and ask how I have been. She would ask about John and want to know how he was doing and if he was still hauling logs. Rose Mary kept us updated on Steve. She will be missed.

I am so blessed to have been friends and neighbors with Rose Mary for many years. And little Abby. Thank you, Steve, Cathy and Barbara for sharing your Mom with me! You are in my thoughts and prayers, asking God for His peace that passes all understanding. You are loved! Susan Trammell
