I am deeply saddened to learn of Kennys passing. I have lost a cousin, classmate and a childhood friend. We were born 10 day apart and I cherish our memories as kids growing up. His laugh was special. My condolences to Darline and family. Jack & Sandi Tarr, Gloucester, MA

My condolences to all Ken's family and friends on this sad news. I knew and worked for Ken in Wenatchee in the early 1970's, he was a great teacher and easy to work for. I had worked for him for about a week before he realized I knew next to nothing about carpentry, and I'll always remember what he said, in his classic New England accent: "I asked for a carpenter and got a hippie with a hammer". Very sorry to hear of his passing.

You being gone makes me reminisce about old times up Olalla Canyon and sledding with my mismatched snow pants, makes me think about talking LOUD so you could hear, and makes me think that you and Auntie Darlene were the best "fill-ins" at grandparents day. Thanks for the memories Uncle Kenny I will cherish them.
Love you always ~ Bree

I dated one of Ken's daughters in high school. I fell in love with the whole family. Ken was a great guy. I remember clearly the night he brought out his shotgun and racked it. He reminded me to listen for the metallic click. He said it would be the last sound i heard if I misbehaved. I think he was kidding?
Every time I hear the song "Cleaning this gun" by Rodney Atkins I think of him and picture that night. Darlene, if you read this,I miss you too and am thinking about you all. I wish we had kept touch.

Kenny was one of the most genuine people I have had the pleasure of knowing. He was also one of the finest craftsman I have met and humble about it at the same time. I had many conversations about woodworking with him while he lived in the Wenatchee area and far too few since he moved to Idaho. He always told me he loved it in St Maries and when ever we chatted he would tell me I should move there. God Bless Kenny, I look forward to seeing you when Jesus calls me home.
