Obituary of Wayne Calvin Daniel
Wayne Calvin Daniel (71) passed away on June 13, 2015 in Fernwood, ID. Wayne was born to Ernest and Frieda Daniel on December 31, 1943 in Tekoa, WA. He grew up wherever his father’s career took the family. Wayne graduated from Rosalia High School with the class of 1961.
As a young man, Wayne would work for area farmers in Washington. He went to work for the Milwaukee Railroad starting out as a Gandy Dancer and at one time was a Section Foreman in Worley, ID. After the Milwaukee Railroad shut down, he went to work for the St. Maries River Railroad as an Equipment Operator. He retired from the St. Maries River Railroad in 2005. He married Ann Moore and the marriage ended in divorce.
Wayne went to Alaska with Wes Goodwin and The NW Territories. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and 4 wheeling.
Wayne is survived by a sister Linda Sobczak of Spokane, WA, cousins Wes Goodwin of St. Maries and Randy Phillips from Fernwood, ID, and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Ben Daniel, and sister Doris Powell.
