I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I met Jim quite a few years ago and always enjoyed his friendship. He was a gentle giant and one of the kindest guys. I went from Broadway elem to UHi with Jim. We lived only blocks away from each other. He was a great friend of so many people. Each time I go past his childhood home on University I will be a bit sad. He was a great kind friend. My prayers are with you.

To me, Jim was always a "gentle giant" who would do most anything to help anyone. He loved his outdoor toys and the fun that went with them. Most of all, he loved his family and being around them as much as possible. They loved him too in the same way! Another good man taken way too soon!

My lasting impression of Jim comes from meeting him at the family reunion held in coeur d'alene. Whether speeding off in his speedboat, pulling up in his Hummer, or riding one of the all terrain vehicles around the property, I marveled at his zest for life---He seemed to be living life to it's fullest and was very much in the moment. Without a doubt, his life was much too short and he will be missed by many.
