Obituary of James Allen Haneke
James Allen Haneke (55) passed away on February 4, 2016 in St. Maries, ID. He was born to Harold and Twyla (Wilson) Haneke on May 7, 1960 in Spokane, WA. Jim grew up in Spokane, WA graduating from University High School.
Following high school, Jim played college football for Idaho State University. He attended college for a couple years then went on to work for Murphy Brothers handling heavy equipment. Jim met Jan Deweese in Fairfield, WA while he was conducting some work outside of her house. The couple fell in love and married on August 13, 1994 in Spokane, WA. The family made their home in Waverly, WA and Jim went to work for Adairco now ACI, Inc. They recently relocated to St. Maries and loved the area. Jim enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, Razor riding, elk camp, NASCAR, and spending time with his family and friends.
Jim is survived by his wife Jan at the family home in St. Maries. Also surviving are his son Giles (Krystina) Curtis of St. Maries, ID; daughter Katie Haneke (Josh Buell) of St. Maries, ID; brother and sister in-law Walt and Chris Haneke of Spokane, WA; sisters Roberta (Rick) Bagley of Priest River, ID, Billie Serbell of Otis Orchards, WA, Janet Roseman of Spokane, WA, and Delores (Rocky) Fletcher of Athol, ID; 1 grandchild and 1 on the way. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of his life will be Friday February 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lake City Church 6000 Ramsey Road, Coeur d' Alene, ID 83814. A reception will follow at the Jacklin Building in the Kootenai County Fair Grounds 4060 N. Government Way.
