I first met Florence in November 1999 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Harrison, ID. We soon became good friends and remained so. We enjoyed baking pies, cooking and sharing meals together, having sleep-overs, singing Christian songs, walking on the Trail of the Coeur d Alenes and up Silver Mountain Ski Area over the summer, watching movies on TV, going to fairs and art shows, having long talks about the environment, local, national, and international affairs, our struggles, triumphs, dreams, aspirations, decisions to be made, and adventures yet to come. Florence was the most kind, loving, caring, supportive, positive, giving, selfless, insightful, self-actualized, and saintly person I have ever known. When I had surgeries and medical issues, Florence drove me to medical appointments, picked up my prescriptions, mail, groceries, and brought home-made meals to my home. She helped me move from Harrison to Post Falls, unpack, and put items away. Florence was like the mother I always wanted but never had. Being in her presence was like being enveloped in a warm blessed blanket of pure love. I'm glad I was able to visit her while she was in the hospital and at Ivy Court. I miss her deeply.

Florence was possibly the kindest person I have ever known. She loved working as an advocate for children and being their voice. It was very important to her. Whenever I would see her out and about, she was always so pleasant. She made one feel special. She was genuinely interested in people. Her sweetness will be missed. Our sincere condolences to her loved ones..
