Condolences from the Ison relatives back in Wisconsin. I've called my Uncle Arnold (91) in Riverton, WY. and let him know about Madelines passing. Porter and Madeline and Uncle Arnold and and Aunt Nede were married about the same time.
I've also posted the obituary to the Ison/Wilson facebook group page for other relatives to view.

You all have my sincerest condolences. Madeline was a sweet lady who always had a smile for me and time for a conversation with my folks. Am trying now to remember the last time I saw her and it may have been either at the VA with Porter or perhaps at church for another service. Ada May Foster and I talked the other day about how much she'll be missed. We apologize for not making it to St. Maries last Friday morning to say our final farewell but by the time we got the Gazette, it was too late to plan the details. Guess that's part of growing old...not seeing one another as often but always thinking of each other in past, shining moments. She'll be in good company on that ever-expanding, hometown heavenly cloud. Well, Madeline...you deserve a spot with a magnificent view of all your loved ones and am sure an assigned angel will be helping you look after everyone on either side of the banks of the 'Joe'....God Bless you and thanks for being a friend.

Madeline will be deeply missed. Her compassion for others, work ethic, and volunteerism has touched the lives of many others; and extends far beyond the boundaries of her St. Maries community. I will miss her smile, and her enthusiasm to help others. I will always cherish the memories I had of interacting with Madeline, and the many other Senior Citizens of Benewah County volunteers.
On behalf of the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), and our sponsors North Idaho College and the Area Agency on Aging of North Idaho; I would like to extend our heartfelt sympathy to Madeline's family.
Treasure the memories of your loved one, and may it comfort you to know that others share your loss.

Madeline, such a perfect example of a Catholic/Christian lady.....caring for family, husband for many years...and loving all children and grandchildren. She was a "classy" lady who had a smile and a nice word for all. She will be missed and we will pray for her with masses and novenas. We pray for you daughters who lovingly cared for her, and all who mourn. (just a little smile: I thought of you, Madeline....as the incense was flying in church at Easter Vigil).... God Bless, Shirley
