Go with god, Donna, be free and at peace. You had a life of many set backs, but remained strong. I am thankful that you were able to reunite with your children and family. We had many a laugh over the campfire. I am most grateful to the care and love you gave my father. I will miss our cards and calls.
May your family be strong and know you were loved by many!!

CONTINUED - Another talent showed itself in the kitchen. Her grandson Shiloh learned the secrets of making good jam as well as many other tips of food preparation. She was always ready and willing to listen. I'm going to miss having my sister to "dump on". I would be remiss if I didn't mention Donna's pechant for her fire pit. She would escape to the rock circled site-cleansing would take place as well as a rejuvenating of her soul. It was also a spot for family & friends, promoting good conversation, great sing-a-longs, jokes and the enivitable dancing with the smoke! Donna joins 2 brothers and 1 sister. I being the oldest having the last word, have decided we are all going to meet someday-in New York where we grew up, at Grampa Seaver's sugar bush, where we would pour syrup onto snow & enjoy maple taffy! Enjoy your new freedom, Donna Dear, see you at the sugar bush! Love you more-morest-mostest! Missing & Remembering, Big Sister Barbara

Resilience-the ability to recover from change, illness or misfortune. That describes my sister Donna Leigh, 14 months my junior-but in many ways seeming older in intelligence & life experiences! She was a fighter, a survivor, improving her station from a potato picking country girl to a very successful business woman & most recently a sheriff's deputy at the Benewah County jail. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and great "go to" for any reason. She had a knack for giving good advise without sounding critical or "preachy". Let's talk about her love for her feline companions, of which there was always 1 to 3 in her care throughout her life, giving her years of love and companionship. After retiring, she was a volunteer at Hope's Haven. She fostered abandoned tiny kittens, some needing to be fed every 2 hours! CONTINUED ON SEPARATE ENTRY

Auntie Donna was a special woman and I will miss her. We shared the love of cats, gardening, reading and birding. I was fortunate to spend some time with her and all of my cousins earlier this year and I will treasure those memories. I love you, Auntie Donna...see you later!
