Obituary of Donna L. Dack

Donna L. Dack (72) resident of St. Maries, ID died Dec. 22, 2011 at her home on Round Lake following an extended illness. She was born January 27, 1939 to Orville and Ruth (Knapp) Seaver at Dansville, NY. She grew up in New York and she and her siblings were raised by their uncle Ted. She moved to Washington State in 1956. She graduated from Bellevue High School With the class of 1956. She married Richard E. Rudow in 1956 at Bellevue where they made their home. She moved to Scottsdale, AZ where she was a homemaker and raised her children. Later her husband was transferred to Whittier , CA and she continued to be a homemaker. She was divorced in 1966. She then attended a Business College in California where she received her para-legal education. She moved to Boca Raton, FL where she worked for a local attorney. She married Roland Dack on Aug. 8, 1986 in Hawaii. They made their home in Florida before moving to St. Maries in 1988. She went to work for the St. Maries Eagles Lodge managing the bar. Around 1998, she went to work for the Benewah Co. Sheriff's Dept. as a detention deputy and dispatcher. She retired from that position in 2003. Her husband died in 2007. She enjoyed cooking and adopting cats. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Donna is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Patrice and Peter Pfeiffer of Calder, ID, daughter Katy Heathcock of St. Maries and her son's and daughters-in-law David and Debra Rudow of Coeur d' Alene, ID and John and Sue Rudow of Alta Loma, CA. Also surviving are step-children Kendirck (Lauren) Dack, Leslie (David)Kushner, Rolanda Dack and Valerie (Warren) Sanson all of Florida. Donna is also survived by sister Barbara Halbakken of Yakima, WA as well as 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers Charles and John Seaver and sister Cynthia Hutchcroft. A celebration of Donna's life will be held at a later date and time to be announced in early 2012.
