Our deepest sympathies to our dear neighbor and friend, Sharyn. Your "Sweetie" Bob was a very special man, always full of spunk and energy, he lit up any room he entered with his smile and charm. He was a gentleman of the highest caliber, treating everyone with respect and kindness. We cannot comprehend the emptiness you are feeling, Sharyn, but know that "your Bob" is at peace with the Lord and that Bob's spirit will be with you always as he smiles lovingly down on you from "Baseball Heaven". I am so sorry for your loss. As the post mistress in Santa, I truely looked forward to seeing Bob everyday. He was such a kind, sweet, loving man and I will miss him greatly. I hadn't seen him for a while when Sharon came in and asked me to pray for her "Sweety". I thank you Sharon for stopping by the post office with Bob and letting me run out and get a hug and let Bob know how much I cared. I am the younger brother of the dear wife of this man. I never stood in his presence physically, but because I have had a very active communication with my sister throughout the years, I know this man very well. The respectful love he gave her is the purest, most selfless love that a man can give his beloved. The way he treated her was exemplary and a model for every husband.

Please accept my sincere condolences during this time of grief. My hope is that the words of Christ Jesus be of comfort, when he stated that "the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out" (John 5: 28, 29). We can also take comfort in God's personal promise to "wipe out every tear" and that soon, even "death will be no more" (Revelation 21: 4).

This made me so sad to hear of Bobs passing. He always greeted me with a smile and a hug. It was always a joy when Sharon and he came to dinner at the diner.I hope he is revisiting his days as a young baseball player and getting to catch up with the likes of his old buddies. He always had such interesting stories to tell of the old days. He will be very missed by me. Keep smiling Bob! Hugs to Sharon and the family. <3 Cheryl
