Lois was a very special person to me and my family. When she and Jim married, she came into our family like she owned it..........and every one of us - sons, cousins, wives, brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles all loved her. She had a special way of taking charge and gaining people's respect. She was never shy about expressing her opinion and agree with her or not, you had to appreciate her passion.
She and dad made a wonderful couple and both of them enjoyed their years together immensely. She told me one time that when dad died she stopped living. That broke my heart, but I suspect it was true.
My heart goes out to Cindy, Bobbie, and Lori - and all of us who knew and loved her and were lucky enough to be able to call her family.

Dear Bobby, Cindy and Lori,
Our deepest condolences for the loss of Lois. She was really a special person and substitute mother/grandmother to us and our children.
Her gracious spirit was always evident in you all and her love was greatly known to us.
She and Jim took us into their home and life, improving our lives in every possible way. Bobby, I'm sure you remember the day you drug me over to their home against my will. I will always think of it as one of the best days of my life.
Although Lois could be controversial at times, her grace and love always came through, showing great compassion for those that did not agree and probably did not deserve it.
We know that you will miss her, but take comfort in all that Lois meant to us all.

Lois and I had wonderful, interesting and sometimes lively conversations. I cleaned for her and was her source of gossip. When I ran out of gossip, she told me I needed to walk downtown and get some! She always had good advice and was so interesting to talk to. I will miss those visits and her advice dearly! She was a lovely, fiesty and big hearted lady. I was blessed to have had her in my life, if even for a short time.
Knowing she's with her beloved Jim and her sister she missed so much, I hope will give her family and friends comfort through these times.

I will forever miss you! I cannot describe the pain of losing you. I'm trying to put a little eyeliner and mascara on, but my eyes keep leaking memories of you! No more cooking you white beans and cornbread. No more of you telling me what to do with my life. No more motherly advice. No more having our minds in sync thinking of one another. I wasn't ready to let go. This is like my mother leaving me again. I love you so very much!
