Obituary of Toby Dale Barner

Toby Dale Barner (60) resident of Genesee, ID, died October 2, 2012 from an apparent heart attack on his property near Fernwood, ID. He was born September 16, 1952 to Melvin and Grace (Purser) Barner at Moscow, ID. Toby grew up in Moscow and graduated from Moscow High School with the class of 1970. He married Jackie Baugh in 1971. They were divorced 6 years later. He started his construction business in 1981 in Moscow. He worked in all aspects of home and commercial construction. He worked in framing and roofing. One of his most recent projects was working on the expansion of Gritman Memorial Hospital in Moscow. Toby had taken a diving class at the University of Idaho and became a certified scuba diver. He enjoyed scuba diving, sailing his boat on the Snake River, back packing and being in the mountains. He also enjoyed snowmobiling. Toby is survived by son Adrian Barner of Tumwater, WA and his daughter Alison Hlas of Portland, OR. Other survivors include brother Tony Barner of Nebraska and sister Tracy Stubblefield of Kent, WA. He was preceded in death by both his parents. There are no services planned.
