I first met Chuck while we both worked at McClellan AFB and as luck would have it we soon became Huntng, camping and fishing buddies for life. We came to Utah together with a continuation of our compassion of the outdoors. I will always have fond memories of Chuck and the things we got into while on our excursions. With him being the leader of the pack I will admit some goats would hesitate on some of the places he took me.. Chuck was an adventurer and a wonderful person. I will miss him dearly, and by me knowing him, my life has been so much more enriched, by him being part of it. He was a loyal friend, a confidant and a man of simple ways and a wonderful heart. What an adventure that with him turned into a journey of some of the most memorable times of my life.. Tight lines my dear friend for i know you are at peace and in the Lake of your fondest of Dreams.

I remember looking for a place to board my daughter’s filly while also looking for a place to live when moving to Northern CA. We found the boarding facility first. That is when I met Chuck & Glenna. Little did I know their facility would become my daughter’s “home away from home”. She spent many hours there after school and on the week-ends. I always knew where she would be. Chuck was a stern and generous man with his time and my daughter Carrie gained insurmountable knowledge on the care, training and enjoyment of riding and working with horses thanks to Chuck. So glad he was willing to share his knowledge and time with Carrie. It meant so much. You will be missed Chuck. Glad our paths crossed as it was a special time. You lived life to its fullest and enjoyed so much along the way. “Happy Trails to you”.
Love, Becky McFarland

We are so sorry to hear of Chuck's death. Ken worked with Chuck at McClellan AFB and our first foal, 26 years ago, was sired by Chuck and Glenna's stallion, Farhan.

I met Chuck and Glenna when I was 16 years old at their Arabian horse ranch in Lincoln, CA. I spent many hours at the ranch learning to work with horses. After many months of begging, Chuck finally agreed to sell Wilbur to me as long as I would commit to spending the time to train him properly. Chuck would come home after working all day and always find time to give me a lesson with Wilbur. Chuck was generous and extremely talented in many aspects of life. The time I spent at the ranch will never be forgotten and I am eternally grateful to have had Chuck in my life for all of these years. Chuck's love for Glenna, horses, dogs, hunting and fishing is everlasting just as my memories are of Chuck. I will miss you Chuck!
Love,
Carrie

Chuck we will miss you deeply. Your hands were no stranger to hard work. Biggest hands I'd ever seen but dwarfed in size when compared to his heart. His heart was full of love for his wife Glenna, fishing, hunting, his dogs, and anyone in need. Chuck showed me a lot about the outdoors but mostly he showed me about life! Many things,I will never forget. You were like a father figure when I was much younger and growing up. We will see you again and we will always love those who touch our lives as you have! May you rest in peace. You will be missed! Thanks for the great times and touching my life as you have...till we meet again old friend!!
