Obituary of Charles E. Leimbach

Charles E. Leimbach (67) resident of Fernwood, ID died December 1, 2012 at his home at Fernwood following a 5 year battle with lung cancer. He was born March 20, 1945 to John and Irma (Scoefield) Leimbach at Stewartsville MO. He grew up in Plattsburg, MO. Chuck graduated from High School there with the class of 1963. He attended Highland Kansas Junior College before going to work for a gas company in Kansas City, KS. Chuck has two marriages that ended in divorce. He enlisted in the U.S. Airforce in 1966. he served 8 years before he was honorably discharged. He then went to work for the U.S. Government in the Civil Service department. Chuck worked for the Fire Department at McClellan AFB in North Highlands, CA. He married Glenna Goetz on July2, 1980 at Reno, NV. Chuck later was promoted to the Carpentry Department at McClellan and instructed carpentry to military personnel. He helped remodel base housing for officers quarters. Chuck transferred to Hill AFB in Hooper , UT where he worked in the Actuator Shop, building ejectors for canopy's in jet fighters. He retired in 2005 and moved to Fernwood, ID. Chuck enjoyed horses and raising English Pointer bird dogs. His other enjoyments include hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife Glenna at the family home. Also surviving are children Clinton of Weed, Ca, Christina of St. Joe , MO and Janet of California. Chuck is also survived by brothers and wives David ( Dianne) Leimbach of Senoia, GA, Robert (Norma) Leimbach of Hickory, NC, Leonard (Glenda) and J.C. Leimbach all of St. Joe , MO. Also is his brother -in-law Irvin J Goetz of Arkansas, sisters and husbands Helen (Arthur) Zech of Plattsburg, MO, Barbra Ann (Edmond) Coon of Denton, MI, Donna (Paul) Johnson of Avalon Park, FL and sister Carrie Psyhogios of Owasso, OK. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 27 nieces and nephews and 24 great nieces and nephews. Services may be held at a later date and time to be announced.
