Shawna & Collin, Judy, kids & grandkids, I'm very sorry for your loss of Elmer & Ryan. Ryan was a good friend, and I have many memories of Kurt and I coaching him back in the 80's, at wrestling practice. He was an absolute moose trying to take down. Fast forward 5 years, after a few buckets at Conklin Park together, coming back up the river to the Roundhouse, Ryan and I decided it was time for a quick take down tournament, which lasted about 10 seconds. I found myself under that moose, and quickly realized that I could raise the Titanic with tweezers quicker than I could get Ryan off of me. It's appear Kurt and I taught him well. I will miss meeting up with him at Ed's R&R every morning for a quick how is it going, before we both headed off to work. He was honest, hardworking, and cared deeply about his family and friends. Godspeed my friend Furley.

Judy, Shawna, Collin, kids and grandkids, I am so sorry for your loss. I'm certain I knew Ryan since kindergarten. A great friend to have growing up, would do anything to help when needed, and always with a smile on his face. He was one of those few guys that didn't seem to feel pain, cold, or heat. Absolutely the one you wanted on your side in a football game. Wish I could be there tomorrow to cry, but to laugh even more at the great stories that will be shared. I just happened to be with him once (along with Eddie & Konk) when I think we could have set a Guinness World Record in Ryan's jet boat. As we were getting close to entering the lake from the river, Ryan decided we needed to cool off, so turned the wheel and floored it, we do a 180, nose of boat goes under water, big wave comes over all of us...just then we noticed the boat police behind us, lights and siren blazing. Apparently back then, the police boat siren was severely under powered, because we had no idea we were part of a hot pursuit! Or, could it have been the lack of baffles in the tail pipes of the 454 he had in the boat? In any event, 11 infractions (none involving alcohol) at one stop, has to be a record. I might(?) have 1 or 2 more stories to share some day. On a day of great sorrow, I hope you're all able to focus more on the laughter. Rest in peace Furley, you will absolutely be missed.

I am so sorry to hear about both Ryan and his dad! Ryan was a good friend while I lived in St. Maries. This was a great loss to this world, but in loss, I also believe in remembrance. Ryan was a great guy, and I had a lot of good times and laughter with him. I will hold on to those thoughts, and I hope you can focus on the good and not the times of sorrow.

Ryan was my best friend ever since I could remember. I considered him a brother. He was always good to me. You could always count on Ryan he would do anything for you and always kept his word. Ryan was an extremely hard worker no matter what he was doing. He always spoke highly of his parents Elmer and Judy. Tiana and the grandkids were his world. He was a great dad and even better grandpa Keegan and Aubrey could do no wrong. I liked that about him.
I have many stories and good memories of him that I will always take with me. His passing is going to be so hard to get over. It hurts really bad. God I’m gonna miss him!
